We just love having fun with our Barkroyal guests and go out of our way to create an environment where your pets are safe and stimulated during their stay. We offer structured, supervised playtime with experienced, trained staff who love having fun with your pets!
For dogs, it’s all about getting to know your pet and how they like to play before we introduce any friends. Our yard sessions and activities are grouped according to size, temperament, breed and friendships – and we always check with you first before introducing your pet to new friends. Guest welfare is everything to us so we carefully manage playtime and activities to ensure all of our guests are happy and safe during their stay. We aim to exceed your expectation of boarding kennels with activities designed for maximum fun in a safe and supportive environment.

Door-to-door collection or return home for our guests. Contact us if you need to arrange transport for your pets. We can arrange pick up and drop off in our customised Mercedes van.
We are big advocates for dog training. We love a pup with good manners! Our go-to recommendation for training is That Dog School. We are proud to offer Barkroyal Hinterland as a venue to host the well-run Preppy Pups course. Help your pup grow through this critical period of development into a well-rounded confident canine by giving it the start it needs.
From maintenance to pampering we offer extra grooming including hydrobathing, maintenance brushing, ear and eye cleaning, and nail clipping. We even offer pawdicures for those pets wanting to go home with a bit of colour!
Relax and unwind with story time. Dogs and cats love being read to and story time is perfect for pets who love to soak up extra love and attention. We read aloud side by side and bond over a good book.
Who doesn’t love a massage on holiday? A soothing body massage and brush provides an opportunity to de-stress and rejuvenate tired muscles after playtime – with some extra pats and cuddles thrown in!
Everybody loves to learn new tricks with their friends. Book a session with our highly trained experts for fun training and reinforcing basic commands so your pets don’t forget their skills while away from home.
For dogs who love to make friends! Group play time is a fun supervised activity with our dog trainers. Have a run and play while gaining great socialisation skills with our other guests.
Snuggling up together is the perfect way to unwind after a busy day. For dogs and cats who prefer two-legged friends, you can book some special one-on-one time with one of our animal loving team members.
One for the water babies! For the pup who loves the water, book a dip in our purpose-built swimming pool with walk-in beach entry designed especially for dogs. Complimentary doggy life vests are available.
A 20-minute walk through our beautiful acreage property is just the thing for the fit pup who needs to burn some energy and a perfect activity for the pooch that gets excited for walkies at home.
One nature walk is never enough! Keep your pet happy and active during their stay with a walk every day. Available in custom packs of 5 or more – ideal for longer stays or for pups who look forward to daily walks to stretch those legs.
Playtime is more fun with family and friends. If you have more than one pet staying with us, you can book them in for activities together and pay only $10 per extra pet (per activity excluding play group).
Because who said dogs deserve all the fun? Book your fabulous felines some special playtime in our purpose built indoor/outdoor playroom! Cat play walls, hammocks, climbing trees, scratching poles and a big lounge for cuddles!
Spoil your dog on their holiday with a visit to the beach! Soak up some sun and play in the surf. This special treat is available to Barkroyal Boutique Pet Resort guests only. Includes up to 2 dogs from the same family.

Luxury Board & Train allows your dog to immerse themselves in the training experience. Our motivational based training methods are tailored to suit your dog – giving them a reason to learn and be involved. All dogs are unique and they respond to new situations and training differently. We take time at the beginning to set goals before we get to work learning and having fun. Graduation includes a full handover with you so you can continue to reinforce and build on your training together at home.
